James E. Smith, Jr.
James E. Smith Jr. manages the Westbank office of Stewart Title of Louisiana, supervising residential and commercial real estate closings. Jim is the owner/President of Stewart Title of Louisiana and offers over 20 years experience in real estate transaction law and land use matters.
Jim, born and raised in New Orleans, graduated from Jesuit High School, received his undergraduate degree from Boston College, attended Cambridge University in England where he received an L.L.B. and earned an L.L.M. in 1980 from George Washington University. Jim also obtained a postgraduate legal training in admiralty law at Tulane University.
Jim served as a commissioner to the Orleans Parish Levee Board form 1988 to 1992. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the New Orleans Bar Association.
